Abstract

Zusammenfassung 520 Unternehmen, über 16.000 Geschäftsstellen und rund 290.000 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter: Sie alle sind ausschlaggebend für den Erfolg der Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe (SFG). Eines dieser Unternehmen ist die 1997 gegründete Star Finanz GmbH mit Sitz in Hamburg und Hannover. Seit August 2010 ist sie eine 100-prozentige Tochter der Finanz Informatik, dem IT-Dienstleister der SFG. Wie viele Finanzdienstleister steht auch die Star Finanz vor der Herausforderung, sich im Wettbewerb mit globalen Big Techs wie Amazon und Apple, mit Neo-Banken wie Penta oder N26 sowie in Bezug auf den Trend zu plattformbasierten Geschäftsmodellen zu behaupten. Daher wurde mit dem Sparkassen Innovation Hub (S-Hub) 2017 eine zentrale Innovationseinheit innerhalb der Star Finanz geschaffen, die wichtige Trends erkennt, Ideen für digitale Produkte und Dienstleistungen identifiziert und sie verprobt. Der Beitrag beschreibt die Struktur und Arbeitsweise des S-Hubs und gibt einen Überblick über die Initiativen, Medien und Methoden, mit denen Innovationen entwickelt, eine neue Kultur etabliert und die Lust auf Veränderung in die Mitgliedsunternehmen der SFG transportiert werden.
