Abstract

Zusammenfassung Ability-Management kann als eine Form des Change-Managements verstanden werden. Zu erwarten ist, dass in der Regel ähnliche Mechanismen ablaufen. Denn Ability-Management ist ein Veränderungsprozess für Organisationen. Mit diesem werden alte Werte, Normen, Konzepte und Prozesse in Frage gestellt, um neues zu etablieren. Dies ist unweigerlich auch mit Widerständen verbunden. Das sollte allen Akteuren, insbesondere aber der Führungsebene mehr als bewusst sein. Wie zahlreiche Beobachtungen aufzeigen, scheitern nahezu 60–70 % aller Change-Prozesse genau aus diesem Grund. Es mangelt den Akteuren vielfach an Bewusstsein und an Fähigkeiten, diesen Widerständen zu begegnen und sie zu händeln. Dieser Band gibt Denk- und Handlugnsempfehlungen für einen gelingenden Prozess.
