Abstract

Zusammenfassung Für den chinesischen Verbraucher ist die Welt zu einem großen Marktplatz geworden. Laut offiziellen Zahlen shoppen etwa zwei Drittel der fast 700 Mio. Internetnutzer online. Dies macht China zum größten E-Commerce-Markt der Welt. Zeitgleich versucht die chinesische Regierung, in der schönen, neuen Digitalwelt durch Zensur den Informationsfluss zu lenken, was unter anderem zu der explosiven Entwicklung einer extrem agilen Social-Media-Monokultur via Kommunikationsplattformen wie WeChat führte. Die Chancen in dieser großen Internetkultur sind auch für Unternehmen riesig – solange man mit den Eigenheiten des chinesischen Internets hinter der Great Firewall umzugehen weiß.
