Abstract

Zusammenfassung Bestimmte Unternehmen sind für evangelische Mitarbeiter, bestimmte Universitäten für progressive Wissenschaftler, bestimmte Behörden für Bewerber, die der CDU (oder der SPD) nahestehen, unzugänglich. Solche closed shops entstehen im Zuge einer sich selbst verstärkenden Entwicklung. Heute sprechen wir von Pfadabhängigkeit (Damit ist gemeint: Die Resultate von Prozessen, hier: die Geschlossenheit von closed shops respektive ihre Unzugänglichkeit für Protestanten, Progressive oder Frauen, sind nicht von Anfang an determiniert, sondern hängen vom Prozessverlauf ab; für Näheres siehe Ackermann (2001), Ortmann (2003, S. 271 ff.)). Wenn man den Fuß nicht am Anfang in die Tür bekommt, dann gelingt es später eben deshalb erst recht nicht mehr.
