Abstract

Zusammenfassung Bereits im Jahr 2013 veröffentlichte das McKinsey Global Institute eine Liste mit den zwölf wichtigsten disruptiven Technologien: Mobiles Internet, Automatisierung der Wissensarbeit, Internet der Dinge (IoT), Cloud-Technologie, Advanced Robotics, Autonomes und teilautonomes Fahren, Next-Generation Genomics, Energiespeicherung, 3D-Druck, Advanced Material, Advanced Gas and Oil Exploration and Recovery und Erneuerbare Energien (vgl. McKinsey (2013) Disruptive technologies: Advances that will transform life, business, and the global economy. Einige der genannten Technologien haben oder hatten bereits für die Finanzbranche einen disruptiven Charakter, indem einzelne Rollen in der Finanzbranche überflüssig wurden bzw. völlig neue Möglichkeiten entstanden sind. Im Folgenden werden ausgewählte Technologien thematisiert, die entweder die Finanzbranche bereits verändert haben oder das Potenzial haben, dies in Zukunft zu tun.
