Abstract

Zusammenfassung Wir schauen auf die Gesellschaft, wir schauen auf Bildung und Forschung, wir schauen auf die Wirtschaft, wir schauen auf das Klima, wir schauen auf Europa in der Welt: Deutschland und Europa stehen vor schwierigen Zeiten. Und vor Bewährungsproben. In dieser jungen Dekade, den 20’ern dieses Jahrhunderts, verbinden, vermischen und verstärken sich mehrere langfristige Entwicklungen und Trends. Treiber hinter all diesen Geschehnissen sind digitale Technologien. Nicht alleine, doch aber deutlich als Ermöglicher, als Beschleuniger oder gar als Initialzünder. Die Folgen können wir langsam abschätzen. Zu Kriegen vor der eigenen Haustür, zum technologischen Wettrüsten von überlegenen Weltmächten, zur Überalterung der Gesellschaft, zu einer Wirtschaft in der digitalen Revolution durch Künstliche Intelligenz kommt jetzt noch eine globale Seuche. Keine Zeiten für Zartbesaitete. Zeiten, die richtigen Prioritäten zu setzen.
