Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Veränderung der Altersstruktur in Deutschland ist auf zwei wesentliche Faktoren zurückzuführen. Zum einen steigt, durchaus auch im medizinisch-technischen Fortschritt begründet, die Lebenserwartung der Bevölkerung. Zum anderen stehen dieser Entwicklung sinkende Geburtenzahlen gegenüber (Vgl. Kühn, 2017). Abb. 1.1 zeigt die Altersverteilung der deutschen Bevölkerung im Jahr 2018 und vergleichend dazu die Prognose für das Jahr 2060. Es ist deutlich zu erkennen, dass sich im Jahr 2060 die Altersstruktur weiter zu Lasten der jüngeren Bevölkerung verschoben haben wird.
