Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Inkubation des Corporate Spin-Offs Cargoboard gilt als Best Practice innerhalb der Partnerschaft zwischen dem Stückgutnetzwerk CargoLine und dem Innovationsquartier garage33. Durch die Begleitung der garage33 entwickelte Cargoboard innerhalb von fünf Monaten eine Online-Speditionsplattform, die seit der Gründung im April 2019 bereits über 200.000 Stückguttransporte durchgeführt hat (Stand Juli 2021). Inkubatoren wie die garage33 unterstützen die Entwicklung von Geschäftsmodellen methodisch bei der Identifikation von Innovationsfeldern und -optionen, der Generierung von Ideen, sowie der initialen Konzeptionierung und datenbasierten Entwicklung von Geschäftsmodellen. In dieser Hinsicht unterscheidet sich der Inkubationsprozess des Spin-offs im Grundsatz nicht von dem eines klassischen Start-ups. Die vorliegende Case Study über das Logistik Spin-Off Cargoboard reflektiert den Inkubationsprozess und diskutiert die kritischen Erfolgsfaktoren.
