Künstliche Superintelligenz

Abstract

Zusammenfassung 1950 fragte Alan Turing in seinem Aufsatz ‚Computing Machinery and Intelligence‘, ob Maschinen denken könnten. Daraus erwuchs die Herausforderung, eine dem Menschen ähnliche, künstliche Intelligenz zu schaffen. Technische Basis für die Fortschritte in diesem Vorhaben waren permanente Innovationen in Hard- und Software, vor allem hinsichtlich Prozessorgeschwindigkeit, Speichervolumina und Bandbreiten sowie die Entwicklung leistungsfähiger Algorithmen. Einige Wissenschaftler/-innen sind der Ansicht, künstliche Superintelligenz sei das logische Ergebnis der Evolution. Andere haben Einwände in Bezug auf die generelle Erkenntnisfähigkeit von Maschinen. Irving Good bringt 1965 den Begriff der Intelligenz-Explosion in die Diskussion, nach der intelligente Maschinen noch intelligentere Maschinen produzieren würden. Seit Kurzem macht KI durch spektakuläre Siege in verschiedenen Spielen Medienfurore. Trotz der beeindruckenden Erfolge bleibt offen, ob es je eine superintelligente KI geben wird.
