Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Digitalisierung hat weitreichende Folgen für die gesamte Arbeitswelt. Eine Konsequenz ist, dass Arbeitsplätze zunehmend unabhängiger von einem Ort sind. Durch diesen Umstand beschleunigt sind in den letzten Jahren viele sogenannte Coworking Spaces entstanden, eine Art offene und flexible Bürogemeinschaft für mehrere Unternehmen und Freiberufler. Dieser Beitrag befasst sich genauer mit dieser neuen Form des Arbeitens, geht auf Vor- und Nachteile ein und erklärt, warum Startups im Besonderen davon profitieren können. Zudem wird mit dem Bielefelder „Pioneers Club“ ein Beispiel aus der Praxis vorgestellt und erklärt, wie die Corona-Pandemie im Jahr 2020 Coworking Spaces beeinflussen.
