Abstract

Zusammenfassung Digitalisierung und Künstliche Intelligenz (KI) gewinnen zunehmend an Bedeutung und bieten ein riesiges Potenzial für Unternehmen. Der nachfolgende Beitrag beleuchtet die verschiedenen Entwicklungsstufen von Digitalisierungs- bzw. KI-Use-Cases und legt einen besonderen Fokus auf die Entwicklungsaktivitäten und die anschließenden Skalierungsmöglichkeiten – vom Proof-of-Concept zum Full-Scale-Product. In der Praxis scheitern bisher viele Vorhaben bereits in einer sehr frühen Phase, bedingt durch prozessuale, technische und organisatorische Hürden. Der Beitrag liefert wichtige Ansatzpunkte, damit Unternehmen die entsprechenden Rahmenbedingungen schaffen können, um mittels Digitalisierung und KI neue Erkenntnisse zu generieren und diese quantifizierbar bzw. nutzbar zu machen. Die zunehmende Automatisierung bietet zudem die Möglichkeit Komplexität beherrschbar zu machen, Prozesse effizienter zu gestalten und Kosten einzusparen, um somit den eingeschlagenen Weg der digitalen Transformation erfolgreich zu meistern.
