Abstract

Zusammenfassung Dieses Kapitel beschäftigt sich mit der Bürgerperspektive auf Sicherheit mit speziellem Fokus auf die zahlreichen Spannungsfelder, die bei der konkreten Implementierung von Sicherheitsmaßnahmen entstehen. Dabei geht es weniger um die Behandlung bekannter ethischer Probleme (Datenschutz, Biases, etc.), sondern um die Frage nach den Erwartungen seitens BürgerInnen, was, wie und wo deren Rolle in der Produktion urbaner Sicherheit liegt. Wir basieren unsere Betrachtungen auf den aktuellen Forschungsstand zu gesellschaftlichen Reaktionen auf technologische Ansätze wie Smart Cities und Künstlicher Intelligenz. Unser Interesse richtet sich dabei vor allem auf die konkreten und häufig nicht-intendierten gesellschaftlichen (Neben)effekte großflächiger Sicherheitsmaßnahmen, inklusive kollektiver und individueller Strategien und Formen des kreativen Widerstands.
