Abstract

Zusammenfassung An der Umsetzung der Vision Zero mit dem Ziel „keine Toten im Straßenverkehr“ erfolgreich mitzuwirken, bedeutet eine große Herausforderung für alle Verantwortlichen und ist eine wichtige Aufgabe der Polizei. Für Erfolge der polizeilichen Verkehrssicherheitsarbeit ist es stets wichtig, durch Problemanalysen konkrete Ursachen der lokalen Unfallentwicklung sowie Verbesserungspotenziale zu erkennen, um die eigene Strategie darauf auszurichten. Durch interdisziplinäre, ganzheitliche Betrachtungen und aufeinander abgestimmte Vorgehensweisen können Verkehrssicherheitsmaßnahmen optimiert werden. Ein Verkehrsunfall kann das Leben binnen weniger Sekunden komplett verändern. Verkehrsunfallopfer benötigen aber nicht nur eine medizinische Versorgung ihrer äußeren Verletzungen. Auch ihre Psyche bedarf einer professionellen Betreuung, wenn sie durch das Unfallgeschehen verletzt worden ist. Das Wichtigste nach einem Verkehrsunfall sind die bestmögliche Rehabilitation sowie die Rückkehr in den Lebensalltag und die Mobilität.
