Abstract

Zusammenfassung Kernaufgabe des deutschen ZFD ist die Erforschung und Ermittlung von Straftaten, deren Verfolgung der Zollverwaltung gesetzlich zugewiesen ist. Die strategische Ausrichtung liegt in der Bekämpfung der mittleren, schweren und/oder Organisierten Kriminalität. Die Delikte lassen sich grob in zwei Kategorien unterteilen: Eher fiskalisch bedeutsame Delikte wie Verstöße gegen Zollvorschriften und Hinterziehung von Verbrauchsteuern. Der Zoll generiert einen hohen Anteil der Einnahmen des Bundes, entsprechend bedeutsam sind die Deliktsfelder der Wirtschafts- und Steuerkriminalität. Daneben ist die Kriminalität mit Auswirkungen auf die Sicherheit des Warenverkehrs im umfassenden Sinne und auswärtige Beziehungen, soweit es um die Überwachung des Außenwirtschaftsverkehrs geht, umfasst. Hierzu gehören u. a. Verstöße gegen Verbote und Beschränkungen im grenzüberschreitenden Warenverkehr, Rauschgiftschmuggel, Verstöße gegen das Außenwirtschaftsrecht und die Bekämpfung der internationalen Geldwäsche.
