Größere Wirkung polizeilicher Strategien durch Analyse der Branchenstruktur

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Branchenstruktur und Branchenentwicklung beeinflussen die aktuellen und potenziellen Leistungswirkungen der Polizei und auch ihre Strategien. Michael Porter hat das Modell einer Branchenanalyse („Five Forces-Modell“) für die Privatwirtschaft entwickelt. Ziel ist die Beurteilung einer Branche nach ihrem Gewinnpotenzial durch Identifikation und Beschreibung der Einflussfaktoren (Triebkräfte) in fünf Bereichen Identifikation von Chancen und Risiken in der Branche Beurteilung der Art und Stärke der Einflussfaktoren auf die Organisation. Aus Sicht der Polizei geht es um Wirkungspotenzial. Nach Analyse des erweiterten Modells kann gesagt werden, dass die Polizei gute Chancen hat, in der angestammten Branche für Sicherheitsleistungen gemäß ihrem gesetzlichen Auftrag hohe Wirkung zu erzielen; sie muss sich aber auch systematisch der Risiken bewusst sein.
