Abstract

Zusammenfassung Viele Sicherheitsexperten scheuen, den Bürgerinnen und Bürgern reinen Wein einzuschenken. Doch nur wer ehrlich sagt, was ist, kann die Menschen von Veränderungen überzeugen. Und das ist wichtiger denn je angesichts von Verschwörungstheorien und steigender Staatsskepsis. Dabei ist das Vertrauen der Bevölkerung von zentraler Bedeutung. Die Polizei muss für die Bürgerinnen und Bürger sichtbar sein und Bedrohungen wie zum Beispiel durch Clankriminalität, Kinderpornografie oder Cyberkriminalität wirksam bekämpfen. Voraussetzung dafür ist eine personell, rechtsstaatlich und technisch gut ausgestattete Polizei, der sowohl die Politik als auch die Gesellschaft Respekt und Wertschätzung entgegenbringen.
