Abstract

Zusammenfassung Betrachtet man die langfristige Entwicklung der Schweiz seit der Industrialisierung im 19. Jahrhundert, so stellt man fest, dass sowohl der Anteil der Beschäftigung wie auch der Anteil der Wertschöpfung im sekundären Sektor (”Industriesektor“) bis in die 1960er Jahre laufend angestiegen ist. Dies geschah parallel zur relativen Expansion des tertiären Sektors (”Dienstleistungssektor“). Ab Mitte der 1960er Jahre erfolgte dann ein kontinuierlicher Rückgang des Anteils des sekundären Sektors von etwa 50% auf heutige 25% (Wertschöpfung) bzw. 20% (Beschäftigung), während der tertiäre Sektor weiter zunahm auf über 70%.
