Abstract

Zusammenfassung In der Politikwissenschaft ist die Evolutionstheorie noch nicht so recht heimisch geworden. Das zeigt der anfängliche Bericht über den lückenhaften politikwissenschaftlichen Rezeptionsstand von Evolutionsforschung. Sodann werden die Ursachen für diese Lage dargelegt. Einesteils sind das forschungsgeschichtliche Erblasten, andernteils soziokulturelle Umstände, die sich wissenschaftssoziologisch erschließen lassen. Sodann sind die vier Schnittstellen zwischen Politikwissenschaft und Evolutionstheorie abzuhandeln. Sie befinden sich im Bereich der politikrelevanten Anthropologie, Systemtheorie, Geschichtstheorie und Morphologie. Abschließend wird überblickt, wie derzeit im politikwissenschaftlichen Schrifttum an diesen Schnittstellen evolutionsanalytisch gearbeitet wird: im Bereich der Allgemeinen Evolutionstheorie, hinsichtlich der biologischen Grundlagen politischen Verhaltens und politischer Strukturbildung, sowie im Bereich der Evolutorischen Institutionenforschung.
