Digitalisierung und die evolutorische Analyse Technologischer Systeme, Regime und Taxonomien

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Seit der Jahrtausendwende hat der Umfang der Digitalen Transformation und deren nachhaltiger Einfluss auf die Entwicklung der Ökonomie ein solches quantitatives Maß erreicht, dass nunmehr von einer grundsätzlich neuen Qualität der Weltwirtschaft auszugehen ist, die in der wissenschaftlichen Diskussion vielfach als 4. Industrielle Revolution bezeichnet wird. Ausgehend von diesem Theorieansatz ist der Arbeitsstand der Evolutorischen Ökonomik zum vorherrschenden Technologischen Paradigma und den dazugehörigen Technologischen Regime zu hinterfragen. Da die bisherigen Beiträge in der evolutorisch-innovationsökonomischen Literatur, die sich zumeist auf die grundlegenden Arbeiten von Pavitt (1984) und Malerba und Orsenigo (1995, 1997) zum innovationsbedingten technologischen Wandel beziehen, primär von fortlaufenden Innovationen ausgehen, ist der Paradigmenwechsel, den die Digitalisierung hervorgerufen hat, in der Evolutorischen Ökonomik nahezu unberücksichtigt geblieben. Aufgrund dessen müssen bestehende Taxonomien zum innovationsbedingten technologischen Wandel auf ihre Anwendbarkeit zur Analyse von Digitalisierungsprozesse kritisch überprüft und aktuelle Anforderungen an die Weiterentwicklung des Wissenschaftszweigs bestimmt werden.
