Abstract

Zusammenfassung Führen findet zwangsläufig in jeder sozialen Gruppe statt, und es ist ein entscheidender Faktor für den Erfolg und für den Zusammenhalt der Gruppe. Das gilt natürlich auch für jedes Unternehmen. Deswegen ist Führen in Unternehmen institutionalisiert und den Führungskräften zugewiesen. Aber anders als z. B. im Rechnungswesen oder in der Informationstechnik gibt es für das Führen keinen allgemein anerkannten, verbindlichen Rahmen; eine solide wissenschaftliche Durchdringung des Themas existiert nicht. Um die Behandlung des Themas auf eine solide Grundlage zu stellen, ist es deshalb zunächst einmal erforderlich, das Thema abzugrenzen und die verwendeten Begriffe zu definieren. In welchen Situationen und unter welchen Bedingungen findet Führen statt? Was sind die Voraussetzungen dafür, dass man führt, und was ist das Ziel? Und was hat Führen mit Hierarchie und mit Macht zu tun?
