Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die vergangenen Kapitel haben uns einen Überblick über Veränderungsprozesse vor allem aus der betriebswirtschaftlichen und organisatorischen Perspektive verschafft. Im Folgenden wollen wir den Blickwinkel ändern und aus Sicht der IT auf eine ERP-Implementierung schauen. Als Referenz dient dazu S/4HANA, das aktuelle ERP-System des Marktführers SAP. Als Orientierungsrahmen für das gesamte Kapitel nutzen wir zunächst die grundlegenden Ideen und Zielsetzungen von ERP-Systemen im Allgemeinen, unabhängig vom Hersteller. Darauf aufbauend werden dann speziell für SAP S/4HANA das Konzept, die wesentlichen Bestandteile und Betriebsmodelle bis hin zur technischen Implementierung dargestellt. Auf dieser Grundlage fassen wir die Vorteile einer Einführung sowie die größten Herausforderungen nochmals zusammen. Lesern, die in dieser Systemtechnik zu Hause sind oder sich bereits als SAP-Experten einschätzen, steht es natürlich frei, dieses Kapitel zu überspringen.
