Online-Meetings – besser als ihr Ruf?

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Online-Meetings haben den Ruf, in einigen Gesichtspunkten mit physischen Treffen nicht mithalten zu können. Gerade wenn es um Emotionen, tief greifenden Dialog und soziodynamische Prozesse geht, so haftet virtuellen Veranstaltungen der Makel der fehlenden Nahbarkeit an. Im folgenden Beitrag zeigt der Autor anhand eines Praxisbeispiels Stellhebel und Ideen zur Behebung dieses Mangels auf. Seine These lautet: Online-Meetings sind besser als ihr Ruf, wenn sie in folgenden Aspekten passend und umfassend gestaltet werden: Setting und Format, Medien, technische Ausstattung und Infrastruktur, Interaktion und Beteiligung sowie Führung und Moderation. Dies gelingt insbesondere, wenn Möglichkeiten der Interaktion geschaffen und die Teilnehmer aktiv dazu aufgefordert werden, sich einzubringen. Auch wenn diese Veranstaltungen vor dem Bildschirm stattfinden: Bei den Teilnehmern darf nie der Eindruck des Medienkonsums entstehen, wie sie ihn vom Fernseher kennen. Wenn die Teilnehmer die Veranstaltung selbst aktiv mitgestalten, wird sie berührend.
