Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Bedeutung in der Anwendung von künstlicher Intelligenz (KI) für den Sektor Medizin und Gesundheitswesen ist in den letzten Jahren erheblich gewachsen. Dabei spielen nicht nur Fragen der Technik, Ökonomie und Implementierung eine Rolle. Vielmehr hat gerade im Anwendungsbereich Gesundheitssektor KI nur einem zu dienen: dem Leben von Patientinnen und Patienten. Die Gesundheit der behandelten Menschen und die Qualität aller Dienste im Gesundheitswesen sollen zum Wohle aller Menschen verbessert werden. So sehr sich medizinische Forschung, Technikentwicklung und Gesundheitsversorgung zwar im Rahmen wirtschaftlichen Handelns und globaler Entwicklungen bewegen, so sehr sind diese ethisch verantwortlich zu gestalten. Welche ethischen Orientierungen und Leitlinien sich für KI-Anwendungen im Gesundheitswesen aus der Perspektive einer theologischen Anthropologie und Sozialethik ergeben könnten, wird im folgenden Kapitel entfaltet.
