Abstract

Zusammenfassung Im Zeitraum von 2017–2018 hat die kreisfreie Stadt Kaiserslautern in Kooperation mit dem Landkreis Kaiserslautern, unter Federführung der gemeinsamen Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft, eine „Interkommunale Gewerbegebiets- und Industriegebietsflächenpotenzialstudie“ erarbeitet. Hintergrund der Studie war eine starke Nachfrage nach erschlossenen, marktreifen Gewerbeflächen, die nicht mehr bedient werden konnte und zu einem angespannten Bodenmarkt geführt hat. Im Spannungsfeld zwischen Wirtschaft, Politik, gesetzlichen Vorgaben und dem Nachhaltigkeitsgedanken unternimmt die Studie den Versuch, Potenzialflächen zu identifizieren und gutachteich zu bewerten.
