Wifö-Award: Mit Wettbewerb in die Zukunft?

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Wirtschaftsförderung ist ein Aufgabengebiet zwischen Konkurrenz und Kooperation. Aufgrund der nicht nur zu Nachbarkommunen bestehenden Konkurrenzsituation und des nicht selten anzutreffenden „Einzelkämpfertums“ der verantwortlichen Akteure haben sich in der Vergangenheit verschiedene Kommunikations- und Austauschformate gefunden, die aber letztlich in Relation zu anderen Aufgabengebieten sowohl inhaltlich-fachlich als auch formal überschaubar gewesen sind. Der im Jahr 2019 erstmals durchgeführte Award „Innovative Wirtschaftsförderungen“ innerhalb des traditionellen bundesweiten Forums deutscher Wirtschaftsförderer hat entgegen der Erwartungen aller Beteiligten eine erstaunliche gute Beteiligung von fast 90 Wirtschaftsförderungen erhalten und somit doch ein starkes Bedürfnis nach fachlichem Austausch auf der einen, aber natürlich Präsentation der eigenen Ergebnisse und Erfolge auf der anderen Seite dokumentiert. Die zunächst allgemeine Ausrichtung auf die „Innovation“ soll in Zukunft weiterentwickelt und ausdifferenziert werden. Nicht zuletzt wird auch die aktuelle Corona-Krise eine wichtige Rolle in der Zukunft spielen.
