Abstract

Zusammenfassung In den 20er-Jahren des 21. Jahrhunderts stehen die kommunalen Wirtschaftsförderungsorganisationen in Deutschland vor epochalen Herausforderungen. Inmitten eines rasant verlaufenden Transformationsprozesses von der analogen Wirtschaft in die Datengesellschaft mit ihren verschiedenen Plattformen sind sie bislang meist Getriebene des Wandels. Der Beitrag thematisiert die gesellschaftlichen Transformationsprozesse, die Bedeutung von Plattformen und Daten und die Möglichkeit der Wirtschaftsförderung, sich in die Reihe der Treiber des Wandels einzureihen. Hierzu werden Möglichkeiten einer plattformbasierten Neupositionierung der Wirtschaftsförderung und der Entwicklung entsprechender Dienstleistungen aufgezeigt.
