Abstract

Zusammenfassung Seit den frühen 1990er Jahren rücken Business Ecosystems in den Fokus sowohl der betrieblichen Praxis als auch der betriebswirtschaftlichen Forschung. Jedoch fehlt es neben einer klaren Definition des Begriffs auch an einer Abgrenzung gegenüber offensichtlich verwandten Konzepten. Analog zur Diskussion über die Unterscheidung von Logistik und Supply Chain Management stellt sich insbesondere die Frage: Ist der Begriff Business Ecosystem nur eine neue Bezeichnung für Supply Chains? Gelingt jedoch eine Abgrenzung dieser Konzepte, so lassen sich neue Herausforderungen und Implikationen des Logistikmanagements in Business Ecosystems identifizieren und analysieren. Im Rahmen dieser Analyse offenbart sich ein Dilemma zwischen realisierbaren Kosteneinsparpotenzialen und einer sinkenden Kundenzufriedenheit, welches es zu überwinden gilt.
