Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Digitalisierungswelle macht auch vor der Logistik nicht Halt – zahlreiche Methoden und Werkzeuge der sogenannten Digitalen Fabrik sollen den Logistikplaner in seinem täglichen Arbeitsumfeld unterstützen. Durch kürzere Produktlebenszyklen und steigende Variantenvielfalt müssen auch logistische Prozesse agil reagieren können. Damit in der Logistikplanung in kurzer Zeit erste Konzepte und Ideen generiert werden können, sollen geeignete Softwaretools das theoretische Wissen gewinnbringend in die Praxis überführen. Der Artikel gibt einen Einblick in die typischen Aufgaben eines Logistikplaners im digitalen Zeitalter – beginnend bei der Schaffung einer Informationsbasis bis hin zu Dimensionierung und Darstellung der Ergebnisse.
