Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Zeiten der Personalentwicklung mit üppigen Budgets sind seit längerem vorbei. Doch trotz wiederholter Einsparungswellen finden sich auch heute noch Unternehmen, in denen die Maßnahmen der Personalentwicklung beliebig erscheinen oder einer momentanen Unzufriedenheit entspringen statt fundierter Überlegung. Wichtigster Ausgangspunkt für jede Maßnahme der Personalentwicklung sollten die aus der Strategie abgeleiteten Entwicklungsbedarfe sowie die Potenziale der Organisation sein. Die verschiedenen Akteure der Personalentwicklung sollten sich ihrer Rolle und Verantwortung bewusst sein und eigene Vorstellungen zur Personalentwicklung einbringen. Für Personalentwickler gilt es, die Funktion als Managementfunktion im Unternehmen zu etablieren, einen konzeptionellen Rahmen zu schaffen und diesen kontinuierlich weiterzuentwickeln.
