Abstract

Zusammenfassung In diesem Kapitel wird die Situation des Mietenschutzes in San Francisco in Bezug auf die Regulierung von 1979 und 1994 sowie die Ergebnisse dieses Markteingriffs auf die Gesellschaft dargestellt. Die Auswirkung der Mietenbremse bzw. des Mietendeckels auf San Francisco werden dargestellt und basierend darauf, wird ein Ausblick auf Berlin gegeben. Abschließend wird kurz auf die amerikanische Mietenkontrolle mit ihren Vor- und Nachteilen für Mieter und Vermieter am Beispiel von New York City eingegangen.
