Abstract

Zusammenfassung Marketplace Lending und Crowdfunding als technologiegestützte Finanzierungsoptionen haben insbesondere seit dem Jahr 2007 an Bedeutung gewonnen. Eine Auswahl relevanter digitaler Plattformen ermöglicht es Innovatoren, Finanzierungen online zu finden, oftmals schneller und unkomplizierter als über traditionellere Finanzierungsquellen. Für Investoren auf der anderen Seite wurde somit eine neue Anlageklasse für Direktinvestitionen geschaffen. Sowohl Privatanleger als auch institutionelle Investoren haben direkten Zugang zur Anlage in eine Bandbreite aus Eigen- und Fremdkapitalprodukten. In diesem Kapitel wird zunächst skizziert, welche rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen für Marketplace Lending und Crowdfunding in Deutschland eine Rolle spielen können. Es wird aufgezeigt, wie der typische Prozess einer Finanzierung mittels digitaler Plattformen ablaufen kann und welche Faktoren hierbei zu berücksichtigen sind. Anschließend wird dargestellt, welche Vorteile und mögliche Nachteile mit den verschiedenen Finanzierungsformen verbunden sein können. Abschließend werden die Perspektiven für Investoren im Rahmen dieser Finanzierungsformen umrissen und mögliche Risiken eines solchen Investments aufgezeigt.
