Wachstumsfinanzierung inmitten des COVID-19-Ausbruchs – Die Taxfix Story

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das Berliner Steuer-Start-up Taxfix schloss am 15. April 2020 inmitten der Covid-19-Pandemie seine Series-C Finanzierungsrunde in Höhe von EUR 59 Mio. ab. Dem jungen Unternehmen war es inmitten der COVID-19 Pandemie gelungen, den global renommierten Wagniskapitalgeber Index Ventures von seinem Produkt zu überzeugen und als neuen Hauptinvestor zu gewinnen. Die Bestandsinvestoren Valar Ventures, Creandum und Redalpine beteiligten sich ebenfalls erneut an der Finanzierung. Wie Taxfix der Abschluss dieser Finanzierung trotz einer weltweiten Krise gelang, wird im folgenden Kapitel näher beleuchtet. Erfolgsfaktoren für das Abschließen der Runde zu unternehmerfreundlichen Konditionen waren a) das vielversprechende Wachstum des Unternehmens, b) die frühzeitig aufgebauten persönlichen Beziehungen zwischen den Taxfix-Gründern und potenziellen Investoren, c) der stringent aufgesetzte Prozess, d) die strukturierte Vorbereitung auf die Investorengespräche und e) die Wahl des richtigen Zeitpunkts für die Finanzierungsrunde.
