Abstract

Zusammenfassung Geschichten formen unsere Sicht auf die Welt. Innovationen wie Buchdruck, Zeitung, Radio, Fernsehen und nun die digitalen Kanäle haben das Verbreiten der Geschichten und das Vernetzen der Menschheit im globalen Umfang erst möglich gemacht. Immer stärker legen wir heute die Kontrolle über das Auswählen und Verbreiten von Geschichten in die Hände von Maschinen, deren Agieren durch Daten gespeist wird. Auch neue Inhalte erschließen wir durch Daten: Durch sie sind wir in der Lage, in Regionen vorzustoßen, für die wir Menschen keinen eigenen Sinn haben. Wir erkennen Zusammenhänge und Muster, die wir ohne diese Daten nicht gesehen hätten. Durch das Auswerten und Kontextualisieren dieser Daten mittels Sprache erweitern wir unsere Welt.
