Abstract

Zusammenfassung Es besteht nun allgemeine Übereinstimmung darüber, dass der Klimawandel erhebliche Auswirkungen auf die Finanzindustrie haben kann. Mit Hilfe von Szenarioanalysen wird das Ausmaß der negativen wie auch der positiven Auswirkungen auf das Geschäftsmodell und die Portfolien der Investoren ermittelt. Der Beitrag veranschaulicht die Materialität des Klimawandels auf der MSCI World am Beispiel von Climate Excellence – PwC’s Werkzeug zur Klimaszenarioanalyse. Das Kapitel baut auf dem Beitrag „Climate Excellence: Bewertung von Klimarisiken und -chancen“ auf, den die Autoren im April 2020 in der Zeitschrift „AbsolutIimpact“ mitveröffentlicht hatten.
