Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die alten Griechen erfanden zwei Götter zur Bezeichnung der Zeit. Der Gott Chronos als Vater des Zeus stand für die objektive Zeit, wie sie von einer Sanduhr gemessen wurde. Der Sand läuft durch die feine Glasöffnung und baut sich auf dem Boden auf. Dieses zeigt die Fokussierung von Chronos auf die Vergangenheit. Der Gott Kairos als jüngster Sohn des Zeus stand für den rechten Augenblick und die günstige Gelegenheit. Die Chancen liegen bei ihm in der Gegenwart, im aktuellen Moment. Dieser Augenblick ist flüchtig und muss „am Schopf gefasst“ werden. Der Gott Kairos wird deshalb mit einer Locke vorne am Kopf und mit einer Glatze am hinteren Kopfteil dargestellt. Wenn das Ereignis kommt, muss man schnell die Locke fassen, sonst rutscht die Glatze zwischen den Händen hindurch, und die Gelegenheit ist vorbei.
