Abstract

Zusammenfassung Kaum ein deutsches mittelständisches Unternehmen verfügt zum Zeitpunkt einer US-amerikanischen Übernahme vollständig über das erforderliche Know-how für eine erfolgreiche Integration in den neuen Mutterkonzern. Vieles war bisher nicht erforderlich, Vorgaben aus den USA müssen zunächst verstanden und umgesetzt werden. Nun gilt es, die Lücken zu schließen und den Bedarf an externer Unterstützung für das Tagesgeschäft zu prüfen sowie externe Experten für den Integrationsprozess zu beauftragen. Der Faktor Zeit ist dabei ein wesentliches Kriterium: Mit ausreichend großem Vorlauf könnte jedes Unternehmen auch neben dem Tagesgeschäft das erforderliche Know-how durch neue Mitarbeiter und Schulungen erlangen und die Veränderungen bewältigen. Kurzfristig ist der Rückgriff auf externe Unterstützung und Experten für viele der bessere und zuverlässigere Weg.
