Betreuung unternehmensspezifischer Abschlussarbeiten – Zahlen, Erfahrungen und Handlungsempfehlungen aus dem Bereich IT und Technik

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Zu den besonderen Vor- und Nachteilen unternehmensspezifischer Arbeiten lassen sich viele Vermutungen anstellen. Die Unternehmen könnten z. B. praxisrelevante Themen anbieten, eine zusätzliche Betreuungsperson stellen oder teure Geräte zugänglich machen. Junge Studierende könnten ein Netzwerk knüpfen und Praxiserfahrungen sammeln. Berufserfahrene Studierende könnten Synergieeffekte bei der Einarbeitung nutzen. Umgekehrt sind aber auch Probleme und Zielkonflikte zu erwarten, z. B. weil unternehmensseitige Betreuer*innen eher auf die Wertschöpfung abzielen, wohingegen die wissenschaftlichen Betreuer*innen eher auf die forschungsmethodische Sorgfalt achten. In diesem Artikel wird mit einer Erhebung unter Hochschulbetreuer*innen untersucht, welche Besonderheiten bei der Betreuung unternehmensspezifischer Arbeiten zu beachten sind und bietet empirisch abgeleitete Handlungsempfehlungen.
