From dust till dawn?! Zu Potenzialen und Herausforderungen archivarischer Ausstellungsprojekte mit Studierenden in der Kunstmarktforschung

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Kunstmarktforschung ist ein noch junges Fachgebiet, das die Interaktionen der verschiedenen Akteur*innen im Kunstmarkt und deren Auswirkungen auf Kanonisierungsprozesse erforscht. Mit dieser Ausrichtung konzipierten die Juniorprofessur für Kunstgeschichte und Kunstmarkt und das Zentralarchiv für deutsche und internationale Kunstmarktforschung ZADIK der Universität zu Köln gemeinsam Forschungs- und Lehrformate und realisierten mit Studierenden des Masterschwerpunktmoduls Kunstmarkt unterschiedliche Veranstaltungstypen zur Vermittlung der erarbeiteten Inhalte. Der Textbeitrag verdeutlicht exemplarisch anhand eines praxisbezogenen Seminars mit 17 Studierenden, welche Kompetenzen in den Phasen Recherchieren und Forschen, Schreiben, Präsentieren und Vermitteln bei der Realisierung einer archivarischen Ausstellung im kunsthistorischen, insbesondere kunstmarktbezogenen Studium erworben werden können. Gleichzeitig thematisiert er auch den damit für die Studierenden, Lehrenden und Kooperationspartner*innen verbundenen Arbeitsaufwand und die Herausforderungen, die die Arbeit mit primär textlastigen Archivalien mit sich bringt.
