Organisation – das Handlungsfeld der Führung

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Im Kap. 2 wurde Führung als Funktion der Organisation bestimmt. Im nun folgenden Kap. 3 soll der Begriff der Organisation genauer definiert werden, denn sie ist das alltägliche Handlungsfeld der Führungskraft – der Anlass (in Form von Widersprüchen, Paradoxien, kritischen Situationen und Entscheidungsbedarfen), ihr Medium (in Form von Plänen, Zielen, Regeln, Vorgaben, Vereinbarungen usw.), sowie der strukturelle Rahmen, der gleichermaßen als Ermöglichung wie als Einschränkung der Führungsinitiativen wirkt. Es wird dabei deutlich werden, dass Verwaltung in ihrem tatsächlichen Funktionieren nicht als Verwaltungs- „Apparat“ bzw. als Maschine beschrieben, sondern als komplexes Organisationssystem verstanden werden muss. Erst vor dem Hintergrund dieses umfassenderen Organisationsverständnisses lässt sich Führung dann als professionelle Gestaltungsaufgabe ausbuchstabieren. Folgendermaßen wird vorgegangen:
