Abstract

Zusammenfassung Wie die Ausführungen zum Ursprung des Geldes gezeigt haben, muss man sich mit den Entwicklungsmechanismen der kulturellen Evolution näher beschäftigen, um das Phänomen Geld als ebensolches Ergebnis der kulturellen Evolution zu verstehen. Dadurch wird die Erkenntnis erhärtet, dass auch das Geld, ebenso wie die anderen Meilensteine bzw. Institutionen der sozio-kulturellen Entwicklung der Menschheit (Sprache, Rechtssystem, Markt) nicht das Ergebnis menschlichen Denkens und Konstruierens sind, sondern vielmehr menschlichen Handelns vor dem Hintergrund von Traditionen, Bräuchen, Sitten und religiösen Riten. Daher können diese sozio-kulturellen Institutionen auch nicht beliebig durch menschlichen Verstand gesteuert werden, seien die Motive auch noch so ehrenhaft, wie zum Beispiel die Inflationsbekämpfung beim Geld.
