Abstract

Zusammenfassung Viele Städte in Deutschland leiden unter einer massiven Verkehrsüberlastung: Staus, Umweltprobleme und nicht zuletzt die Beeinträchtigung der Lebensqualität der Menschen sind die Folgen dieser Verkehrsproblematik. Ausgehend von diesem Sachstand zeigen die Autoren anhand in der Praxis erworbener Kenntnisse auf, welche Ineffizienzen bei der Nutzung des motorisierten Individualverkehrs bestehen und wie jeder einzelne seine individuelle Mobilität entsprechend verändern kann, um so einen Beitrag zu einer Verkehrswende zu leisten. Carsharing kann hier ein Baustein sein, um das Verkehrsverhalten nachhaltig anzupassen und die Nutzung des Umweltverbundes (Umweltverbund bezeichnet die Gruppe der „umweltverträglichen“ Verkehrsmittel, also nicht motorisierte Verkehrsträger (beispielsweise Fußgänger oder Fahrräder), öffentliche Verkehrsmittel (Bahn, Bus und Taxis), sowie Carsharing und Mitfahrzentralen.) zu begünstigen. Ein wichtiger Erfolgsfaktor ist dabei die Vernetzung der Angebote innerhalb einer Region. Wie dies gelingen kann und welche Rolle dabei die IT einnimmt, wird in diesem Beitrag erläutert.
