Abstract

Zusammenfassung Dieser Beitrag befasst sich mit dem Sponsoring im eSport. Zunächst werden der Stellenwert von Sponsoring als Finanzierungsinstrument und das „Sponsoring-Ecosystem“ beleuchtet. Danach wird auf die Zusammensetzung der Sponsoren und Partner einer eSport-Liga am Beispiel der ESL One und der zehn besten Clans des Counter-Strike:GO World Club Rankings näher eingegangen. Neben der Branchenherkunft der Sponsoren wird die Nähe zum eSport untersucht. Hierzu werden diese in endemische und nicht-endemische Sponsoren unterteilt.
