Abstract

Zusammenfassung Eine Reise durch das Leben von Caroline Dabels, CMO und Mitgründerin der AmbiGate GmbH, ein Software Startup aus Tübingen. Eine Frau erzählt ihre Geschichte, wie sie unerwartet in der digitalen Branche landet, umgeben von Algorithmen und 3-D-Sensorik, obwohl sie zwischen ihrem Intel 386 im Jahre 1997 und dem Smartphone in 2012 nicht viel mit Technik am Hut hatte. Eine Geschichte, wie aus Unwissenheit Neugier, Faszination und sogar Passion werden kann. Eine Geschichte, in der ein mächtiger Meeresbewohner zum Symbol wird. Zum Symbol, wie Skepsis und sogar Furcht durch Selbstvertrauen und Erforschung des Unbekannten, in Interesse und Respekt verwandelt werden können. Eine Geschichte mit der Erkenntnis, als Quereinsteiger erfolgreich sein zu können, soll anderen Mut machen ihren Interessen zu folgen und sich nicht einschüchtern zu lassen.
