Frauen gründen gründlicher – und vorsichtiger

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Frauen gründen seltener Firmen als Männer. Das gilt für Startups sogar noch stärker als für traditionelle Unternehmen. Doch was Ursache und was Wirkung ist, lässt sich kaum eindeutig feststellen. Denn einerseits zeigen weltweite Analysen, das Venture Capital den weißen männlichen Startup-Gründer bevorzugt. So fließen in den USA lediglich zwei Prozent des Risikokapitals in von Frauen initiierte Neugründungen. Andererseits erweisen sich Frauen als weniger risikofreudig und scheuen im Falle des Scheiterns vor einem zweiten Versuch zurück, wie der Female Startup Monitor 2018 nahelegt. Eines aber scheint sicher: der Wirtschaft geht weltweit ein großes Potenzial an Frauen-Power durch die Lappen. Vielleicht hilft Geduld…
