Abstract

Zusammenfassung Dass die Digitalisierung fundamentale Auswirkungen auf ihre Arbeitsprozesse und ihr Angebot haben wird, hat die Unternehmerin Sabine Stengel unmittelbar selbst erfahren. Um die Jahrtausendwende profitierte sie mit ihrer Kartografiefirma von den neuen digitalen Möglichkeiten. Doch innerhalb einer Dekade wurde die ganze Branche ausradiert, mit Stengels einst innovativem Geschäftsmodell war bald kein Geld mehr zu verdienen. Von Politik, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft wünscht sie sich einen breiteren Diskurs über Möglichkeiten und Grenzen der digitalen Technologie, gerade wenn eine Handvoll digitaler Monopolisten die für alle anderen geltenden Regeln ignoriert. Heute unterstützt Stengel als Ideenretterin junge Unternehmerinnen und Unternehmer bei der Umsetzung ihrer Ideen. Eine ihrer Botschaften: Lasst uns wieder Verantwortung für unser Handeln übernehmen – statt sie an Algorithmen zu delegieren.
