Abstract

Zusammenfassung Dieses Kapitel führt in die historischen Fakten, Motivationen und Verflechtungen im griechisch antiken Entstehungsprozess der pythagoräischen Quinten-Skalen, welche über zweitausend Jahre als die dominierende musiktheoretische Grundlage gelten kann. Die Konstruktionen des Quintenkreises sowie der pythagoräischen Quintenspirale werden ausführlich entwickelt, methodisch, historisch und mathematisch beleuchtet.
