Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Gründung und der Aufbau des Max-Planck-Instituts für Mathematik wurde in Kapitel 25 besprochen. Zur besseren Übersicht geben wir eine Aufstellung wichtiger Daten: 7.3.1980 Der Senat der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft (MPG) beschließt die Gründung des Institutes. 23.6.1980 Abschluss des Vertrages zwischen der MPG und Hirzebruch über die Errichtung eines MPI für Mathematik in Bonn 1.10.1980 Hirzebruch beginnt mit den Vorarbeiten zur Errichtung des MPI. 1.1.1984 Zagier wird wissenschaftliches Mitglied. 31.12.1985 Beendigung des SFB Theoretische Mathematik 1.4.1991 Harder wird wissenschaftliches Mitglied. 11.5.1993 Manin wird wissenschaftliches Mitglied. 1.7.1994 Faltings wird wissenschaftliches Mitglied. 31.10.1995 Nach Vollendung seines 68. Lebensjahres beendet Hirzebruch seine Tätigkeit als Direktor des MPI. 1.11.1995 Das MPI hat vier Direktoren, Faltings, Harder, Manin, Zagier, die jeweils einen geschäftsführenden wählen, als ersten Zagier. 1.3.1999 Bezug neuer Räumlichkeiten im Post-Carré in der Innenstadt von Bonn, Eröffnungsfeier am 13.4.1999 31.3.2006 Feier zum 25-jährigen Bestehen des Instituts
