Abstract

Zusammenfassung Friedrich Hirzebruch war nicht nur ein genialer Mathematiker und begnadeter Universitätslehrer, sondern auch ein hervorragender Wissenschaftsorganisator. Spricht man über seine Verdienste auf diesem Gebiet, wird immer an erster Stelle die Gründung und Durchführung der mathematischen Arbeitstagungen in Bonn genannt werden. Es dürfte keine Würdigung Hirzebruchs geben, in der nicht die Arbeitstagung an prominenter Stelle genannt wird.
