Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das 21. Jahrhundert wird oftmals als Datenzeitalter bezeichnet. Daten bestimmen heutzutage fast alle Bereiche des täglichen Lebens. Denken wir nur an die ca. 5 Milliarden Mobiltelefone weltweit und die damit verbundene Datenkommunikation, die ca. 2 Milliarden Kreditkarten mit vielen Tausenden Transaktionen pro Sekunde oder an Facebook, welches ca. 300 Millionen neue Fotos pro Monat zu vermelden hat. Ganz zu schweigen von den riesigen Datenmengen, die im medizinischen Bereich z. B. bei Untersuchungen mittels Magnetresonanztomographen erzeugt werden.
