Abstract

Zusammenfassung Diejenigen partiellen Differentialgleichungen vom parabolischen Typus, die für die Anwendungen größeres Interesse beanspruchen, sind nicht besonders zahlreich, sieht man von der Wärmeleitungsgleichung, welche dieser Klasse angehört, einmal ab. Letztere spielt in manchen Zweigen der Technik (z.B. beim Sperrmauerbau) eine maßgebende Rolle; außerdem beherrscht sie die Diffusionserscheinungen.
